How Billy Gunn Can Appear In WWE 2K25 Revealed

In a major surprise earlier this year, it was revealed that Billy Gunn will be featured in WWE 2K25 as downloadable content. Gunn will be part of the Attitude Era Superstars Pack to be released in September 2025 which includes his New Age Outlaws tag team partner Road Dogg, D'Lo Brown, Victoria, and Mark Henry.

Some questioned how Billy Gunn was able to appear in WWE 2K25 since he is signed to All Elite Wrestling, but Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that Gunn has a separate deal with WWE merchandising which allows WWE to add him to WWE 2K25 and make Billy Gunn action figures. This is similar to Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, who is signed to a WWE Legends deal and under contract with AEW as a performer.

WWE 2K25 will be Billy Gunn's first appearance in a WWE video game since WWE 2K17. Other surprising talents in WWE 2K25 include New Jack and Abyss. New Jack was added to the game upon the urging of WWE President Nick Khan, while the man who portrayed Abyss in Chris Park is signed to WWE as a producer and the company has a working relationship with TNA.

Billy Gunn continues to work behind the scenes in AEW, although he has not appeared on-screen since The Acclaimed's split in early 2025. Gunn has continued to wrestle on the indies.
