Kosei Fujita holding the NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 32 trophy

New Japan Pro-Wrestling finished up the Best of the Super Juniors 32 tournament on Sunday, June 1 and Kosei Fujita made history, defeating YOH to become the youngest wrestler to ever win BOSJ.

Fujita defeated YOH with a Thrill Ride following a widely praised 28-minute contest. The 22-year-old TMDK member passed Will Ospreay, who was 23 when he won Best of the Super Juniors in 2016.

Fujita won't challenge El Desperado for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at Dominion, however. The match will instead take place at some point after El Desperado takes on Jun Kasai on June 24, with Despe asking for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title to be on the line in that match.

Fujita advanced to the final of the Best of the Super Juniors courtesy of his win in the A Block. The 22-year-old was tied with Master Wato, Hiromu Takahashi, Clark Connors, and Francesco Akira for 10 points but Fujita advanced to the final due to defeating the other four wrestlers during the tournament.
