First Matches Announced For WWE Hell In A Cell

Two big matches set for WWE Hell In A Cell

WWE have announced the first matches for their upcoming Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, which is set to take place on Sunday, June 5.

Announced for the show is Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins III, this time inside Hell In A Cell. Rhodes challenged Rollins to a match inside the steel structure on Monday's episode of Raw in response to an attack from The Visionary during Cody's United States Title match on last week's show.

Rhodes and Rollins have been feuding since Cody's return at WrestleMania 38. Rhodes won their match at The Showcase Of The Immortals and he won their second clash at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8.

The Raw Women's Title match was also booked for Hell In A Cell and Bianca Belair will defend the gold against Asuka.

The Empress Of Tomorrow earned a title shot on last night's episode of Raw after she defeated Becky Lynch in a number one contender's match. Asuka picked up the win after Belair hopped on the apron which distracted the referee and allowed the former SmackDown Women's Champion to spray Lynch with the green mist before Big-Time Becks could deck her opponent with a parasol. Asuka then caught Lynch with a kick and made the cover for the victory.

Asuka vs. Becky Lynch wasn't the original plan, though, and the two former women's champions were originally scheduled to be in a Six-Pack Challenge with Sasha Banks, Naomi, Doudrop, and Nikki ASH to crown a number one contender but the match was scrapped after Banks and Naomi walked out.
