Back on December 18,

IMPACT Wrestling

announced they had released Killer Kross. The Herald Of Doomsday had previously been one of the promotion’s top stars, but relations between the two parties soured in July 2019 after Kross requested a pay rise on his $20,000 per year deal and IMPACT told him to get a second job. Both parties were unable to reconcile their differences and Kross became the top free agent in professional wrestling.

His short stint as a free agent seemed to be coming to an end, however, as

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter

that Kross was set to sign with WWE after he had a meeting with Triple H.

Kross addressed the report on the

Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast

, in which he explained that he has never met Triple H but would love to meet him. He added that he is currently in talks with a number of different promotions, including WWE, but was unsure about which company he would end up signing with

The Herald Of Doomsday said: "I have to address this. You had mentioned Hunter or Triple H. I've never met him. I don’t know where the story came up exactly first in the dirt sheets. I don't really pay that much attention to them but I've never met him. I think it's cool and I think it's kind of flattering that those stories circulate but I'd like to meet him. If someone could make that happen that would be great."

He later added: "I don’t know where I am going to end up yet and that doesn't bother me, and it shouldn’t bother anybody else. This is a huge decision. This is a life-changing decision. And I enjoy the idea of commitment so when I make the decision on which direction I am going to go in, I need to be 100% committed in my mind and I need to have everything to lie as it should be."
