Former NJPW Talent's Debut & More Set For WWE NXT

A debut on next week's WWE NXT

A former talent from New Japan Pro-Wrestling will make their debut on NXT TV next week, it has been revealed.

It was announced on the Tuesday, March 21 episode of NXT that Eddy Thorpe - the former Karl Fredericks - will make his TV debut next week. A vignette revealed Thorpe would be making his debut, during which he talked about his heritage and played music on a DJ stand.

Thorpe signed with WWE in January 2023 and he has so far competed at house shows and on NXT Level Up.

A contract signing will also take place next week ahead of NXT Stand & Deliver. Johnny Gargano appeared on last night's show, attacking Javier Bernal before Johnny Wrestling revealed he had a contract for an Unsanctioned Match at Stand & Deliver. Grayson Waller, Gargano's opponent at the event, said he would only sign the contract if Gargano was barred from the Performance Center and Vic Joseph signed on his behalf. Gargano ultimately agreed.

Wes Lee also revealed three of his four opponents for the NXT North American Title at Stand & Deliver last night and he will take on Dragon Lee, Ilja Dragunov, and JD McDonagh. The final entrant in the Fatal 5-Way will be determined in a Battle Royal on next week's NXT. The likes of Dijak, Jinder Mahal, and Dabba-Kato look set to compete in the match.
