Former NXT Talents Appear At AEW Dark Tapings (SPOILERS)

Some familiar faces

A pair of relatively recent NXT wrestlers worked in singles action at today's AEW Dark tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando.

Earlier in the Saturday tapings, the wrestler formerly known as Troy "Two Dimes" Donovan (now going by Cole Karter) defeated Mike Orlando.

Later on in the day, Parker Bordeaux (formerly Harland) debuted as a client of Ariya Daivari, and defeated Serpentico.

Karter was released from WWE on June 11, for what was termed a "policy issue", and was reportedly told he could be brought back in a year. At the time, Karter was part of the budding D'Angelo family, with leader Tony D'Angelo, and fellow henchman Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo.

Karter (under that name) previously wrestled a number of matches for AEW in 2021, mostly in the spring months.

Bordeaux was released from WWE on May 1. He was signed to the company in February of 2021, and (as Harland) was paired with Joe Gacy later in the year.

A former football player at Central Florida, Bordeaux was noted for his physical similarity to Brock Lesnar.
