Former Star Wants To Make WWE Return

A former WWE star wants to return to the company

Time and time again we’ve seen stars from WWE's past return to the company, whether one-offs like the recent returns of Savio Vega and Carlito at Backlash, or full-blown returns like that of Edge at Royal Rumble 2020.

One name who hasn't stepped foot in a WWE ring since leaving the company in 2009 is that of Ken Anderson (FKA Mr Kennedy... Kennedy), with the former United States Champion and Money in the Bank winner at one point tipped to be a main event level star for the company.

When asked if he was surprised by a lack of a WWE return in the years since his exit, Anderson said the following during an appearance on the Kurt Angle Show:

“No, I’m not surprised. I said some really s***** things on the way out the door, and I completely get it. I would like to eventually be able to go back there and finish it out, but I completely understand if that doesn’t happen. I did it to myself. I was asked a few years ago - it wasn’t official - but I was asked by Daivari, ‘Hey, your name came up for Royal Rumble. Would you be interested?’ I wasn’t. I was completely out of shape, and I turned it down. But it wasn’t an official ask anyway. I just said, 'No, I’m not interested.'"

After leaving WWE, Anderson went to TNA, where he had two runs with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
