Former Talent Returning To IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT have announced a former talent will return

A former IMPACT talent is heading back to the promotion for the upcoming IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings on October 21 and October 22 in Las Vegas.

Per a report from PWInsider, PJ Black is ‘expected’ to appear at the tapings, before the latest episode of IMPACT Wrestling on October 20 confirmed Black’s return.  Black is set to take part in IMPACT’s X-Division Championship Tournament, with the belt vacated by Frankie Kazarian after he enacted ‘Option C’ for a shot at IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander. Black is set to take on Yuya Uemura in the first round.

Black is best known for his run in WWE from 2010 to 2015 as Justin Gabriel, with the former Nexus and Corre member having three runs with the WWE World Tag Team Championships with teammate Heath Slater. After WWE, Black made his way to IMPACT/TNA in 2015, where he had a short reign as TNA King of the Mountain Champion, before dropping the belt to Bobby Lashley.

Since his last TNA/IMPACT run, Black has worked for the likes of GFW, Lucha Underground, and the NWA, and was part of Ring of Honor’s roster from 2019 until 2021.
