A former TNA World Champion is no longer a part of the company.

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has reported that Rich Swann's contract with TNA Wrestling expired at the end of 2024, and he is currently a free agent. Swann signed a new two-year deal with TNA in late 2022 and there was an option year attached to his contract, but the option wasn't picked up.

Rich Swann's final TNA match took place on the August 3, 2024 taping of TNA IMPACT where Swann lost an X-Division Title match to "Speedball" Mike Bailey. Swann was suspended by TNA later that month after the company found out about a June arrest for disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The 34-year-old was fined $203 and ordered to serve six months' probation after being found guilty.

Swann entered a substance abuse rehab programme following his arrest. He returned to pro wrestling in October 2024 and he has been a regular on the indies, performing for the likes of GCW, Wrestling REVOLVER, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, and Coastal Championship Wrestling.

Rich Swann had been a part of TNA Wrestling since 2018. He was IMPACT World Champion for 183 days from October 2020 until April 2021 when Swann dropped the belt to Kenny Omega in a Title vs. Title Match.
