All Elite Wrestling have brought in a former executive for WWE and the XFL, with PWInsider reporting that Chris Provino has been hired by Tony Khan's promotion. Provino will work on sponsorships and partnerships within AEW.
Provino previously worked for WWE from June 2008 until February 2012, according to his LinkedIn page. He initially served as an International Digital Affiliate Relations Assistant before he became the Coordinator of International TV & Affiliate Marketing.
Provino has since worked for the UFC but his latest role was within the XFL where he worked as the Vice President of Team Business & Event Operations for the Vegas Vipers from November 2022 until February 2024. The Vegas Vipers shuttered in January of this year after it was announced they were not one of the XFL teams merging with the USFL to form the UFL.
Other former WWE executives in All Elite Wrestling include AEW COO Kosha Irby and Executive Vice President and Global Head of Production Michael Mansury. A number of former WWE producers also now work for AEW.
