A former star of WWE's New Generation era returned to the squared circle at Major League Wrestling's Battle Riot V show on REELZ on Tuesday, April 25 and had his leg pulled off during the Battle Riot Match.

As the Battle Riot continued, Duke "The Dumpster" Droese made his way to the ring, trash can in hand, and after getting in some offence, he was knocked down by Alex Kane. The MLW star then applied the ankle lock on Kane's left leg and despite interference from The Calling, Kane kept the submission locked in.

As the move continued, though, it was revealed that Kane actually had the ankle lock applied on Droese's prosthetic leg and he ended up pulling off the limb. Droese was eliminated soon after and Kane went on to win the Battle Riot.

Duke "The Dumpster" Droese was featured between 1994 and 1996 during the New Generation era of WWE. He then had a run in Germany in 1997 but Droese has largely remained away from pro wrestling since he was involved in the WrestleMania X-Seven Battle Royal in 2001.

Droese's MLW debut came about as he trained MLW executive Jared St. Laurent. The promotion originally wanted to book him as a special guest referee for a Dumpster Match a few months ago but Droese had a last-second scheduling conflict.
