Report: WWE To Potentially Revive Brand Exclusive PPVs

Could Raw and SmackDown exclusive pay-per-views be coming back?

WWE will re-establish the brand split over the next week, with the 2023 WWE Draft set to take place from the April 28 edition of Friday Night SmackDown until the May 1 episode of Monday Night Raw. The brand split had largely been forgotten about over the past several months, with The Bloodline and Judgment Day, among others, moving freely between Raw and SmackDown.

Triple H wants to re-assert the brand split, however, and the main roster will soon revert to having two world titles with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on one show and the new WWE World Heavyweight Title on the other.

With the renewed brand split, WWE are reportedly considering bringing back brand-exclusive pay-per-views and the change has been discussed internally, according to WRKD Wrestling.

"One format discussed after the announcement of the draft and the introduction of the new World Heavyweight championship on #WWERaw is the idea of potential brand exclusive premium live monthly events," they tweeted.

WWE has done brand-exclusive pay-per-views before, first between June 2003 and February 2007. Separate premium live events were then reintroduced in 2016 and continued until February 2018, with WWE often holding a pay-per-view every two weeks.
