Report: Further Details On Vince McMahon's Major Changes To WWE Raw

More on what Vince McMahon changed ahead of this week's WWE Raw

After only making minor changes to WWE programming since the Raw after WrestleMania 39, Vince McMahon reasserted his influence over WWE creative on the April 24 edition of Monday Night Raw, making what was described as "major changes" to the show.

It has previously been noted that McMahon changed the finishes of several matches and added The Street Profits vs. Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin to the show. Several segments involving female talents ended up being cut from Raw, including a segment with Candice LeRae and Piper Niven, and another with Adam Pearce and several female wrestlers.

In an update, Fightful Select reported that Piper Niven was scheduled to face Candice LeRae on the show and they were set to be involved in a backstage segment with Trish Stratus but Vince McMahon completely nixed both segments only an hour before the April 24 episode of Raw went on the air. The match was replaced by Street Profits vs. Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin.

Several matches also had time cut, including Mustafa Ali vs. Chad Gable, while Fightful further noted that McMahon changed the winners and losers of certain bouts. Several female wrestlers have been vocal about their segments being cut.

Vince McMahon has been back in charge of WWE creative since the company's sale to Endeavor on Monday, April 3. He has largely been in control of WWE creative remotely and Triple H is allowed to write the shows but Vince McMahon will change whatever he decides he wants to change.
