Former WWE Superstar Neville Returns To Dragon Gate And Joins R.E.D

The King of the Cruiserweights is back!

After months and months of rumour and innuendo surrounding his future, former WWE Superstar Neville has finally made his sensational return to professional wrestling. The former Cruiserweight Champion turned out for Dragon Gate at day one of their Gate of Victory event earlier today to join R.E.D. An angle surrounding a mysterious 'X' figure has been going on in recent times, with Neville revealing himself to be the man in question.

Last October Neville sensationally walked out on WWE after learning that he'd be losing a match to Enzo Amore on Raw. Since then, we haven't heard a peep from the Englishman as the world has wondered what his status is. One week we'd read about his WWE contract still running, and the next we'd hear about him readying himself for a return to the ring.

Just last month, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Nev was ready to make a return but was telling promoters the world over that he couldn't, while just last week, Uncle Dave reported that Neville had “gone off the grid and hadn’t responded to promoters”.

Fans the world over were expecting Neville to arrive in New Japan Pro Wrestling soon, and with them teasing a new member of Los Ingobernables de Japon that has to remain a distinct possibility.

Neville has a strong affiliation with Dragon Gate, appearing for them over a five-year span before he signed with NXT in 2012. During his time with the promotion he won one Open the Brave Gate Championship, one Open the Twin Gate Championship with Dragon Kid, and the Open the Triangle Gate Championship.

It's good to see him back!
