Former WWE Superstar Returns To IMPACT Wrestling (SPOILERS)

Who is it?

Amid recent stories of different wrestlers reportedly asking for their releases, a former X Division champion has returned to the promotion, at Thursday night's TV tapings at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, NY.

At the tapings, TJ Perkins, or simply TJP, returned to the promotion, defeating up-and-coming high-flying standout Ace Austin.

Perkins wrestled for the promotion in various stints for over a decade between 2004 and 2016. In his time with the promotion, Perkins wrestled as his long-running Puma persona, and even donned the Suicide mask and bodysuit for a time.

In July 2013, Perkins won the vacant X Division title in an Ultimate X match over Sonjay Dutt and Greg Marasciulo (Trent Beretta). He lost it three months later at Bound For Glory to Chris Sabin in another Ultimate X match.

In September 2016, Perkins defeated Kota Ibushi and Gran Metalik in one night to win WWE's Cruiserweight Classic, as well as the reinstituted Cruiserweight title, which he held for six and a half weeks before dropping it to The Brian Kendrick. Perkins was released from WWE in February 2019.
