On November 11th, Sin Cara, real name Jorge Arias, requested his release from WWE. Following this, WWE granted his release from the company on December 8th, along with Luke Harper and The Ascension.

His last televised appearance with the company was on the November 8th episode of Raw when he was defeated by Drew McIntyre in under four minutes.

Now, Jorge Arias has made his first appearance outside of WWE as he made the save for Pagano at AAA's Guerra de Titanes event. He used the Sin Cara name and one of his original masks.

After saving Pagano, the high flyer cut a promo in which he explained he was only in AAA to help his friend.

The former NXT Tag Team champion could soon find himself embroiled in a legal battle with WWE for using the Sin Cara gimmick.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Online

that WWE currently holds the trademark for the Sin Cara name in Mexico, and Arias used it without the company's permission.
