Former WWE Talent Addresses His Free Agent Status

A former WWE talent comments on a potential return to the company

Appearing on the Public Enemies Podcast, EJ Nduka has confirmed he is a free agent following his departure from Major League Wrestling at the end of 2022 and the former WWE talent has commented on a potential return to Vince McMahon's company amidst rumoured interest.

"Honestly, I'm not even on social media like that right now. Y'all sent me a DM earlier today, and I don't get on social media til the evening because I try to block all that stuff out. But I will just say that I think god has blessed me and put me in a position where I planted my seeds and now I'm seeing the results of my hard work. So I will say, as of December 31 at 12 am, I was single like a dollar bill. I was a free agent. So yeah, I had the match [at MLW Blood & Thunder]. I respectfully honoured my contractual obligations, and I love MLW, they've been good to me, but yeah, I am a free agent," Nduka said.

"When I got into this business, I told myself that I wanted to create something big and create something for my legacy and my family, something that they could look back and be proud of. So I've never stopped, and that's the goal."

Nduka previously worked for WWE between August 2019 and May 2021 as a developmental talent but he never appeared on TV before he was released. He turned up in MLW soon after and held the MLW World Tag Team Titles with Calvin Tankman before Nduka's exit in 2022.

WWE reportedly expressed interest in signing Nduka but the company's hiring freeze seemingly prevented talks from progressing any further. Nduka was also offered a contract by AEW earlier this year following a tryout match at the January 28 taping of AEW Dark.
