Ric Flair Says Vince McMahon Is His Hero

Ric Flair says nobody has treated him with more respect than Vince McMahon.

Speaking recently to Joe Rogan, Ric Flair expressed that Vince McMahon is his 'hero' - following an apparent sympathetic stance towards McMahon from Rogan regarding the allegations made against him.

Rogan stated:

"When he was getting involved in scandals and there was like girls that he had paid off, I just wanted to say duh. Like, duh. You've got an 80-year-old savage who's built like a ****ing gladiator. [...] You think Vince McMahon is doing that just for ****ing hee-hees and haw-haws? No, of course he's got some floozies on the side."

Flair replied "he's my hero" before elaborating:

"I judge people by how they treat me and he has treated me like...I’ve never had anyone treat me with more respect ever in this business. He’s a great guy. I don’t care what he does. He’s my hero."

Flair first appeared in McMahon's WWE in 1991, famously arriving with WCW's 'Big Gold Belt' and proclaiming himself to be the 'real' world champion. He won the 1992 Royal Rumble match to become WWF Champion, but lost the title to Randy Savage at WrestleMania VIII.

He returned to WCW in 1993, but came back to Vince's promotion in 2001, and even wrestled McMahon several times - including a street fight at the 2002 Royal Rumble.
