Former WWE Talent Confirms Departure

A talent is no longer signed with WWE

A former NXT UK talent is no longer under contract with WWE.

Aleah James hadn't been seen on WWE programming since NXT UK shuttered in August 2022 and the 24-year-old has revealed on Twitter that she is no longer signed with WWE.

James tweeted: "Sooo now we know I'm free as a bird.. who am I going to wrestle first?????"

Many NXT UK talents were let go when the brand was closed down last year but James remained under contract. Some former NXT UK talents have made their way to NXT in the United States, including Tyler Bate, Oro Mensah, Noam Dar, Bailey Matthews, Nathan Frazer, and Blair Davenport.

James has only been wrestling for a short time, making her in-ring debut in 2019. She joined NXT UK in 2020, last wrestling for WWE on a March 2022 episode of NXT UK.

WWE have stated they will launch NXT Europe as a replacement for NXT UK. It was originally announced that the brand would begin in 2023 but Triple H recently noted those plans have been delayed because of the WWE-UFC merger.
