Former WWE Talent Threatening To Send Cease & Desist Over Moniker Used By Liv Morgan & Lita

Former WWE talent and ECW star Francine has threatened to send a cease and desist letter to WWE over the company's use of the phrase 'Queen of Extreme.' The moniker has been used for Liv Morgan in recent months on Friday Night SmackDown and it was noted that Corey Graves has used the phrase to describe Lita on Monday Night Raw. 

Lita was previously a part of Team Xtreme with The Hardy Boyz. Liv Morgan has been involved in several No DQ matches over the past several months which has led to the new moniker for the former SmackDown Women's Champion. 

Speaking on her podcast, Francine noted that she filed to trademark 'Queen of Extreme' several months ago and she will send a cease and desist letter to protect her brand.

"Whether I'm in this business another day or another 30 years from now, if I do conventions, I'm going to sign 'the Queen of Extreme Francine' and I'm going to get that trademark. And if they continue to use it, we're going to file a cease and desist. And that's it. Because they would do it to me. It's not me being bitter or, you know, trying to be a jerk about things. I'm trying to protect my brand and protect what I worked hard for," Francine said.

"And you know, maybe I'm not doing a lot now, but that's my decision. This is my choice. I'm not busy every week and that is by choice. I do get a lot of offers. I can be on the road every weekend if I want to be. I cannot because of my family. I physically can't do it. You know, so the little bit that I do, I'm gonna protect it. So I'm not calling the girls out. I'm calling the company out. And I'm saying listen, that's not your name to use, that's my name."

Francine filed to trademark 'Queen of Extreme Francine' in August 2022 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She was an important element in Extreme Championship Wrestling from 1995 until the promotion shuttered in 2001, managing the likes of Stevie Richards, Shane Douglas, Tommy Dreamer, Bam Bam Bigelow, Chris Candido, The Pitbulls, and Justin Credible. 

Francine briefly worked for WWE in the 2000s, debuting in the company at ECW One Night Stand 2005. She then signed with WWE in 2006 to work on WWE ECW until she was released in October of that year.
