Former tag team partners become bitter enemies.

While they had barely interacted on AEW programming over the past year, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky rekindled their friendship in recent weeks which appeared to cause rising tension within The Men Of The Year. This led to a TNT Title match on Friday's episode of Rampage between the former SCU faction-mates and even though Sky implored Ethan Page and Dan Lambert to not interfere, they did so anyway and helped the 39-year-old retain his championship.

Following the contest, Kazarian told Sky what had happened but just as tensions with Lambert and Page looked ready to explode, the TNT Champion revealed he was in on the plan all along and suddenly dropped his former friend with the title belt.

Following the betrayal, AEW caught up with Kazarian backstage and he challenged Sky to a rematch for the TNT Title. The match won't be at Double Or Nothing, though, and the 44-year-old wants to face Sky in SoCal when AEW make their Los Angeles debut at The Forum on June 1.

As of the time of writing, the TNT Champion has yet to respond to the challenge.

Sky is currently in his second reign with the TNT Title, having regained the gold on the April 27 episode of Dynamite. His match against Kazarian was the first defence of his current reign.
