FTR Win AEW World Tag Team Titles On Dynamite

Top Guys, sticking around

FTR are the new AEW World Tag Team champions, after defeating The Gunns in the main event of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night on Long Island.

For the finish, both FTR members pinned both Gunns with tandem sunset flips (with Cash Wheeler doing a flying version). After the match, streamers fell from the ceiling, while Mark Briscoe came out to celebrate with the new champions.

The match stipulation was that if FTR failed to win the belts, they would have to leave AEW. At several junctures, the Gunns openly cheated in front of referee Paul Turner in an attempt to get intentionally DQed, but Turner refused to stop the match each time.

The win gives FTR their second reign as AEW World Tag Team champions. They previously held the belts for two months in 2020, winning them from Kenny Omega and Adam Page at All Out, and losing them to The Young Bucks at Full Gear.

The Gunns' reign as AEW World Tag Team champions ends at 56 days. They won the belts from The Acclaimed on February 8 in El Paso, TX.
