FTR Wins AAA Tag Team Titles From The Lucha Bros On AEW Dynamite

While wearing some unexpected outfits

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR are the new AAA Tag Team champions, after defeating Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo on AEW Dynamite Saturday night in Miami.

FTR entered into the bout as a masked mystery team hand-chosen by Andrade el Idolo. The two wore green masks with black and green bodysuits, and wrestled under the name Las Super Ranas.

Guest commentator CM Punk and the rest of the announcers openly acknowledged that it was clearly FTR in the get-up. Minutes later, during the match, Penta and Fenix unmasked both men.

At the end of the match, Tully Blanchard rushed the ring and distracted referee Aubrey Edwards, allowing Harwood to strike Fenix with a title belt while the latter performed a top rope moonsault. Harwood then followed up with a brainbuster for the win.

Backstage after the match, Andrade rewarded MJF with a payoff for allowing him the use of FTR.

The win makes FTR the first tag team to hold tag gold in WWE, AEW, and AAA.

Fenix and Penta held the AAA Tag Team titles for 853 days, over two years. They won the titles from The Young Bucks at Verano de Escandalo in Merida on June 16, 2019.

The Lucha Bros are still AEW World Tag Team champions.
