Hulk Hogan - real name Terry Bollea - passed away today at the age of 71 following what was described as a "massive cardiac arrest" at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

Clearwater Police Department issued a statement on Hogan's passing, confirming they responded to a medical call at 9:51 am ET. Hogan was then taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

"Clearwater Fire Department and Clearwater Police Department personnel responded to a medical call at 9:51 a.m. today in the 1000 block of Eldorado Avenue on Clearwater Beach. The nature of the call was for a cardiac arrest. A 71-year-old resident, Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was treated by Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews before being taken by Sunstar to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased," the statement reads.

Clearwater Police Major Nate Burnside later announced in a press conference that Hogan died at 11:17 am ET. Police are conducting a medical investigation but there are no signs of foul play or suspicious activity.

Tributes from across the wrestling world have poured in for Hogan since his passing, including from WWE, Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, Triple H, and United States President Donald Trump.
