Another sign has emerged which suggests that Sami Zayn might not be destined to have a long reign with the Undisputed WWE Championship.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE's marketing department as of July 1 had yet to receive instructions about updating the key art concepts for SummerSlam 2026 to reflect that Sami Zayn will be the Undisputed WWE Champion heading into the pay-per-view on August 1 and August 2.
Sami Zayn became Undisputed WWE Champion at the Night of Champions pay-per-view when he defeated Cody Rhodes and Gunther in a Triple Threat. It was immediately suggested that Zayn's reign with the belt wouldn't be long, though, as WRKD Wrestling warned fans, "Don't get too attached."
Zayn will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes next week, so this may very well result in a quick title switch back to Cody.
It was also noted by WrestleVotes Radio that Zayn's title win was on a strict "need to know" basis across multiple departments within WWE, which was described as "worrisome" by one employee as it would ultimately make doing their jobs more difficult if such secrecy became normalised.
