Gable Steveson Training With WWE Full-Time Following Heart Procedure

Gable Steveson is training with WWE

While Gable Steveson's WWE future appeared to be uncertain in recent months, the Olympic gold medallist has told ESPN he is now training full-time at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando following a heart procedure.

Steveson underwent surgery last month to treat Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome, a rare congenital heart defect which causes a rapid heartbeat due to an extra electrical pathway. An ablation was performed on Steveson to solve the issue.

Fit Finlay is leading Steveson's training at the Performance Center.

"We're just excited to get this journey started, it's been a long road to get to this point...I feel that I'm capable of being in that top spot and I feel that I'm capable of handling that position in the right way. I'm a competitor, I'm an entertainer. I can do things that a lot of other big guys can't. I look forward to putting that on display and sooner or later, taking over that top spot and being the guy that people want to see," Steveson said.

"We're glad to see that Gable is healthy and training full-time at our Performance Center in Orlando. WWE takes pride in our best-in-class medical team which guided Gable through this process to ensure that he has a long, healthy career with WWE," Triple H added.

Steveson signed with WWE in September of 2021 and was drafted to Monday Night Raw soon after. He was involved at WrestleMania 38 this year, taking out Chad Gable alongside RK-Bro and The Street Profits.
