Report: Update On Konosuke Takeshita's AEW Return Date

Konosuke Takeshita is expected back in AEW soon

After an impressive run with AEW earlier in 2022, fans were eager to see whether DDT Pro star Konosuke Takeshita would return to the company, with reports suggesting Takeshita would be back in the company by October.

Takeshita had earlier told Cultaholic that he would be coming back to AEW, and a new report from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer suggests the Japanese star could be returning in the ‘next two weeks’.

As of yet, there are believed to be no concrete plans for Takeshita’s return, but this could always change. Takeshita’s last run in the company was a success, with fans getting behind the young star as he took on the likes of Hangman Page, Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston, and Jon Moxley amongst others.

Takeshita also wrestled for PWG and PROGRESS during his last excursion, before returning to Japan in August. His impending return will certainly be a boon for AEW, who currently have Andrade El Idolo, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, and The Elite away from the company, whilst stars such as Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly are out with injury.
