Giulia To Leave STARDOM

Giulia leaving STARDOM

Although rumoured for some time, it has been confirmed that Giulia will exit STARDOM when her contract expires at the end of March. Giulia informed STARDOM of her intentions to depart the promotion at the end of 2023.

News of Giulia's official exit was first reported by Tokyo Sports. Giulia then confirmed her departure by tweeting: "Free like a bird! It's Giulia. As free as a bird."

Giulia has been one of STARDOM's top stars since debuting in the promotion in 2019. She is a former World of STARDOM Champion and she remains the reigning NJPW STRONG Women's Champion.

Giulia is expected to initially land in Rossy Ogawa's new promotion. The STARDOM founder was fired by Bushiroad earlier this year and a number of STARDOM talents are expected to leave the company in March. Ogawa was already set to leave STARDOM due to Bushiroad's interference in STARDOM booking. The parent company fired him before his exit date, however, after accusing him of poaching talent.

After assisting with the launch of Ogawa's promotion, the expectation is Giulia will head to WWE later in 2024, likely starting on the NXT developmental brand at the WWE Performance Center.
