WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has spoken about the 'disrespect' he felt over the way the company handled his 2025 retirement.

The former Universal Champion lost to then-World Heavyweight Champion Gunther on the July 12 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event. Due to time constraints, Goldberg's post-match speech did not air on the NBC/Peacock simulcast and was subsequently uploaded to YouTube.

A fan named Sunny Quinn recently filmed an interaction he had with Goldberg at a meet and greet and noted that it annoyed him that the speech was cut from the televised broadcast, to which Golberg sarcastically responded:

"Yeah, well, what do you think it did for me? Made me really happy to. It just shows what disrespect they have for me". After Quinn asked what 'jackass' made the call and brought up Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, Goldberg replied "Probably. 100 percent (Triple H is a jackass)". Though WWE reportedly apologised to Goldberg for cutting away from his retirement speech, he has made no secret of how "pissed off" his in-ring retirement made him feel.

The long-term heat between Goldberg and Levesque is well-documented.
