Goldberg recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of

Sports Illustrated

to promote the new History Channel series

Forged in Fire: Knife or Death,

where he also spoke about the potential for yet another huge comeback to WWE.

The former Universal Champion claimed that while he doesn't see a return to the ring happening any time soon, he would be open to a comeback if the storyline is right for him. Goldberg will not return just for a big payday.

“I don’t really foresee that happening, but if Vince [McMahon] picked up the phone and asked me to do something of that magnitude, I’d have to listen,” said Goldberg.

“It’s always a possibility. If it’s just a money grab or it’s just a thing to throw me out there, I’m not interested. The biggest issue there is storyline. I don’t do things just to do them. If they can come up with a story or a reason for me to go back comparable to what they did last time, I’m in.”

The one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion made a sensational return to the ring towards the backend of 2016, answering Paul Heyman's challenge for a match against Brock Lesnar at that year's Survivor Series. After toppling The Beast inside one minute and twenty-six seconds, Bill appeared in the 2017 Royal Rumble before he defeated Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship at Fastlane in double-quick time.

Goldberg's run then came to an end at WrestleMania 33 in one of, if not

the

best under-10-minute matches in WWE history against Lesnar.

Any return now would have to be something truly special to top what we saw from 'DA MAN' last time.
