Grizzled Young Veterans Return On WWE NXT With New Names
A new look too for Grizzled Young Veterans
Grizzled Young Veterans returned on Tuesday's episode of WWE NXT and it was revealed they have been sitting under the learning tree of Joe Gacy.
The Dyad have competed in tag team matches for the past several weeks and it was revealed on Tuesday in a vignette with Gacy that the two druids were Zack Gibson and James Drake. The tag team then agreed to be transformed and when they emerged from the smoke, GYV were changed, having lost their facial hair and gained contact lenses.
Gacy then confirmed that Drake was now called Jagger Reid while Gibson was Rip Fowler, seemingly as a homage to Liverpool FC legend Robbie Fowler. Moments later, Reid declared they had found guidance before Fowler confirmed they had finally been recognised.
This was the first time the former Grizzled Young Veterans had been unmasked on TV since they lost to Legado Del Fantasma on the April 19 episode of NXT. Following that loss, the tag team announced they were done with the developmental brand.
The former Grizzled Young Veterans have been a part of WWE since 2018 and they are former NXT UK Tag Team Champions. They have yet to win gold on any of WWE's brands in the United States.
