Gunther Considers Himself A Favourite To Win The 2024 WWE Royal Rumble
Gunther sees a WWE Royal Rumble win in his future
Gunther has foreseen a big 2024 for himself, with the Intercontinental Champion saying at a media junket ahead of Superstar Spectacle that he considers himself one of the favourites to win the 2024 Royal Rumble.
"Yeah, I mean that's the natural progression from now on I think but we'll see where that goes (Gunther said about going after the WWE World Heavyweight Title). Still the Intercontinental Champion. I'm not planning on losing the title. We'll see. (Royal) Rumble is in a few months. If I'm in there, I think I'm one of the favourites. That would lead to WrestleMania. Yeah, we'll have to see," Gunther said via Wrasslinews.
Gunther is the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history, having recently passed Honky Tonk Man's 554-day reign on September 8.
The 2024 Royal Rumble will take place on January 27 at Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida.
Gunther was involved in the 2023 Royal Rumble, entering at number one. He made it all the way to the final two before being eliminated by Cody Rhodes.
