GUNTHER Would Love WWE Match With John Cena
GUNTHER wants a shot at John Cena in a WWE ring
GUNTHER has carved out a path of destruction through WWE, from his days in NXT UK to his current run as the nigh-unbeatable Intercontinental Champion on SmackDown.
The sky is seemingly the limit for ‘Der Ring general’, and as he revealed to Steve Fall on the Ten Count, he wants to face John Cena in a WWE ring:
“Of course, we could see it [Gunther vs. Cena]. I don’t know what’s going to happen or if it’s going to happen. Obviously, that’s something I would love to do. John Cena is one of the legends. Because he’s not really active at the moment anymore - he just pops up - but when he does, if the chance is there for me, I’ll gladly take it. One of, if not the most popular babyface in this sport of all time. I think I would be a great counterpart to that. I would love to do it,” said GUNTHER.
GUNTHER has held the IC Title for over 150 days since defeating Ricochet for the strap on an episode of SmackDown in June 2022.
