Gunther's World Heavyweight Title Defence Added To WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

The World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event and Gunther will defend the title against Judgment Day's Finn Balor.

The match was made official on Monday's edition of Raw after Finn Balor attacked Gunther following the World Heavyweight Champion's win over Dominik Mysterio.

This came only two days after Finn Balor interfered in Gunther's match against Damian Priest at Survivor Series. Balor assisted Gunther during the contest, hitting Damian Priest with a Coup de Grace on the outside. Gunther didn't appreciate the assist, though, and laid out Balor following the interference.

Finn Balor may have to pull double duty at the show as it was hinted he will have to defend the World Tag Team Championships with JD McDonagh at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Also made official for Saturday Night's Main Event was Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY for the Women's World Championship. SKY won a battle royal on November 3 to earn the title shot.

Tickets are still available for WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. The NBC special will emanate from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on Saturday, December 14.
