Hangman Page Returns On AEW Dynamite As Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Wildcard

Hangman Page back on AEW TV on Dynamite

Hangman Page is back, and he has a new attitude.

The former AEW World Champion was revealed as The Elite's wildcard pick in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and Hangman made his way to the ring with a new entrance theme and an angry demeanour as he faced Jeff Jarrett on Dynamite. Jarrett paid tribute to Owen Hart, receiving a big reaction during the match, but Hangman ultimately picked up the win with Deadeye.

Following the match, The Young Bucks congratulated Page on his win and asked him to be their fifth man in Blood & Guts. Page wasn't having any of it, though, and he instead grabbed Matthew Jackson and said he wasn't going to be The Elite's puppet anymore. He was instead going to focus on winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Hangman will face Jay White in the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament on Saturday's episode of Collision. The final will take place on next week's AEW Dynamite in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and either Page or Jay White will take on Bryan Danielson.

Page had been off AEW TV since he lost an AEW World Title three-way at March's Revolution pay-per-view. Page's absence was explained by The Young Bucks indefinitely suspending him from The Elite and a vignette that aired on the June 29 episode of Collision hinted Page would be looking to rekindle his feud with Swerve Strickland and eventually go after The Elite.

In reality, Hangman was away due to having contractually obligated time off
