Hangman Adam Page lifts the AEW World Championship

Hangman Page is the new AEW Men's World champion, defeating Jon Moxley in a Texas Death match at AEW All In on July 12 in Arlington, TX.

After a long, bloody encounter, The Death Riders all got involved, but were neutralized by Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, and Darby Allin at different points. Late in the bout, The Young Bucks dropped Page with a double superkick, but Swerve Strickland took both of them out with a chain.

Strickland gave the chain to Page, who tried to hang Moxley with it. When Moxley countered, Page dropped him with a Buckshot Lariat onto a bed of nails that Moxley and Shafir had brought into the ring. Page then hung Moxley over the top rope with the chain, drawing the submission. After the match, Page unlocked the briefcase, retrieving the AEW men's World title.

With the win, Page becomes a two-time AEW Men's World champion. He previously held the title for 197 days from November 2021 to May 2022. Page joins Moxley and CM Punk as the only multiple-time Men's World champions in AEW history.

Moxley's fourth reign with the championship ends at 273 days. He won the title from Bryan Danielson at AEW WrestleDream on October 12 in Tacoma, WA. That match brought an end to Danielson's career as a full-time wrestler.

Page earned the title shot by winning the men's Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament on May 25, beating Will Ospreay in the finals.
