Hiromu Takahashi's WWE Ring Name Revealed

In recent weeks, Shinsuke Nakamura has been teasing the arrival of a brand new tag team partner of Friday Night SmackDown to take on The MFTs (who are the new WWE Tag Team Champions) in the tag team division. Last week, it was heavily hinted and all but confirmed that this would be former NJPW star Hiromu Takahashi, with Nakamura referencing his “Ticking Time Bomb” nickname, plus the reveal of a pretty recognisable shadow. WWE have gone a step further this week in revealing a brand new ring name. 

During the latest vignette detailing Nakamura’s impending war with The MFTs pairing of Tama & Talla Tonga, Takahashi was officially unveiled to the WWE fans for the first time. He uttered the words, ‘I am Kyoki’, revealing this to be his new in-ring name. In Japanese, the word is most commonly used to reference insanity or madness, which explains the constant mentions of chaos in Nakamura’s promos on the blue brand in recent weeks. 

When it comes to a tag team name, Nakamura & Kyoki referred to themselves as “Bakusai” in their vignette.
