Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tomohiro Ishii To Wrestle At NJPW Strong Tapings

Tanahashi and Ishii will be in action on August 16

Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii's time in the United States has been extended.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling has previously announced that both men will be in action at NJPW Resurgence on August 14, with Tanahashi taking on Lance Archer for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Title, while Ishii will battle Moose.

Both Tanahashi and Ishii will remain in the United States following the pay-per-view, though, and they are scheduled to be in action at the NJPW Strong tapings on August 16 at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California.

Who Ishii and Tanahashi will be facing has yet to be revealed, but the likes of Jay White, Juice Robinson, Tom Lawlor and Fred Rosser have been advertised for the show. Nine matches will take place as part of the Fighting Spirit Unleashed 2021 series at the tapings.

Following the shows in August, NJPW Strong will head to the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas in September for two days of tapings before travelling to the famous 2300 Arena in Philadelphia for tapings in October.
