Hiroshi Tanahashi Vs. Chris Dickinson Booked For NJPW Strong Philadelphia Tapings

Hiroshi Tanahashi makes his return to NJPW Strong

NJPW Strong returns to Philadelphia on May 15, and NJPW have announced that Hiroshi Tanahashi will be in tow.

Tanahashi will be making his second NJPW Strong appearance after taking part in the Fighting Spirit Unleashed tapings in August 2021, and ‘The Ace’ will be taking on Chris Dickinson in singles action.

This will be the first time Tanhashi and Dickinson have ever wrestled together, and will see Tanahashi looking to continue his perfect Strong run after tasting victory alongside Clark Connors, and Karl Fredericks when they defeated Stray Dog Army last August.

Elsewhere on the card, Killer Kross returns to Strong after his debut loss to Minoru Suzuki at April’s Lonestar Shootout, whilst former ROH star Tony Deppen will be making his debut at the tapings, and it’s his turn to take on ‘Murder Grandpa’ Suzuki.

Announced line-up for NJPW Strong Collision:

  • Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Chris Dickinson
  • Minoru Suzuki vs. Tony Deppen
  • Killer Kross vs. Yuya Uemura
  • Team Filthy (JR Kratos, Royce Isaacs & Jorel Nelson) vs. Alex Coughlin, Kevin Knight & The DKC
