HOOK Makes CM Punk Tap Out After AEW Dynamite

HOOK leaves CM Punk on the mat after AEW Dynamite

Due to his previous long-term feud with MJF, CM Punk was a heel on Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite from Friedman's hometown of Long Island, New York.

Punk was booed mercilessly during his win against another hometown hero in John Silver but the fans were ultimately sent home happy after Punk received a beating from HOOK.

After Dynamite went off the air, Danhausen threatened to curse Punk, sending The Second City Saviour scurrying into the ring. Punk realised he had made a grave mistake, though, as he bumped straight into HOOK who initially teased that he was just going to shake the former WWE Champion's hand before he T-Bone Suplexed Punk and applied the Redrum.

Punk quickly tapped out and he soon passed out before receiving medical attention from Dr Sampson.

On Dynamite, HOOK finally aligned with Danhausen and they will team together against Tony Nese and 'Smart' Mark Sterling on the AEW Double Or Nothing Buy-In. Punk will challenge Hangman Page for the AEW World Championship on the main card.
