House Show Angle Leads To AEW Dynamite Match Announcement

Sting set to return on AEW Dynamite!

The events of All Elite Wrestling's House Rules live event on March 18 has led to a match announcement for Wednesday night's edition of Dynamite.

Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin teamed together at the house show to defeat The Butcher and The Blade in Troy, Ohio. Following the match, The Butcher and The Blade attacked the victors backstage and challenged them to a Trios Match on Dynamite with Kip Sabian set to team with Butcher and Blade.

Cassidy and Allin ultimately selected Sting as their tag team partner, with The Icon set to make his AEW return only a few days after his 64th birthday. Wednesday will also be Sting's first AEW match since Full Gear in November 2022 and his first bout overall since he teamed with Darby and The Great Muta at Great Muta Final Bye-Bye in January 2023.

Already announced for Dynamite is Kenny Omega vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo, Jon Moxley vs. Stu Grayson, HOOK vs. Stokely Hathaway in a No DQ Match, and an AEW World Tag Team Title match between The Gunns and Top Flight, among other matches.
