One of the biggest exits of 2026 has seen Powerhouse Hobbs part ways with AEW upon the expiration of his deal before signing with WWE, though he has yet to make his debut. It was noted in the last week that Hobbs’ decision to sign with WWE was one made due to it being more beneficial for his family, suggesting that he was handed a high money deal to join the promotion.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has revealed the sort of money that Hobbs was offered to stay in AEW, before he ultimately rejected these offers and opted for WWE instead. It is noted that Hobbs’ offer from AEW equated to more than anyone else other than Chris Jericho would’ve been making back in 2019, in line to what Bryan Danielson was offered to switch from WWE to AEW, and on the same level as to what both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were making four years or so ago before their latest WWE deals.

In reports, it was expected that Hobbs would be making a beeline straight for the WWE main roster, which would make sense given the likely money he will be on. When it comes to his potential WWE debut, recent reports have cropped up to suggest when and where he will make his official arrival.
