Hulk Hogan has been added to WWE.com's event page for Crown Jewel, set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday.

The controversial Hall of Famer spoke last week to the Orlando Sentinel where he implied he'd be heading to Saudi Arabia, although it wasn't totally clear whether he was referring to Crown Jewel or simply a future event in WWE's deal with the nation.

Now it looks as though Hogan will appear on the show - a controversial move, not only given the global political situation regarding the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in the Istanbul Saudi Arabia consulate, but also the fact that Hogan still hasn't appeared at a WWE event since the racism scandal of summer 2015.

This news comes soon after the story that Renee Young will be a member of the Raw announce team for Crown Jewel, a surprising revelation given the ban on women appearing as part of the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah back in April.
