Despite his passing, Netflix are still working on a docuseries about Hulk Hogan.
Netflix Vice President of Sports Gabe Spitzer told John Ourand of The Varsity about the current status of the project:
"We have reached sort of a tipping point in the 'follow doc genre,' as we call it, where maybe there are too many of them, so we have to be a bit pickier in terms of the ones we're doing. We still have Quarterback. We're still doing many seasons of Drive to Survive. We have America's Sweethearts on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Outside of that, there are incredible other docs coming. Hulk Hogan, Mike Tyson, Deion Sanders. There are plenty of good ones still out there. Hulk Hogan, we had been filming with Hogan for 20 hours around the time of when he passed. We think that can be a good one."
Netflix have been quietly working on the project since 2024. The series is directed by Bryan Storkel, and producer Connor Schell's Words + Pictures has worked with WWE and Hogan on the docuseries. There is no word on when the Hogan series will be released.
Hulk Hogan - real name Terry Bollea - passed away following a heart attack on July 24, 2025. Bollea had suffered from serious health issues since he underwent neck fusion surgery in May, with it being alleged that Hogan's phrenic nerve was severed during the operation.
WWE and Netflix have been partnered since the beginning of 2025, with Monday Night Raw airing on the streaming service in the United States and around the world. The vast majority of WWE's programming airs on Netflix in many international territories, including the United Kingdom.
