Hulk Hogan: Real American Netflix Docuseries Run Time & Episode Details Revealed

The upcoming Hulk Hogan: Real American documentary from Netflix will be a four-part docuseries composed of four, one-hour episodes, the director of the project, Bryan Storkel, has revealed on Wrestling Observer Live.

Storkel noted that episode one will chronicle the rise of Hogan from Terry Bollea's childhood to his early pro wrestling career across Championship Wrestling from Florida, his first WWF run, becoming a top star in the AWA, and agreeing to return to the World Wrestling Federation.

Episode two will cover the height of Hulkamania in the 1980s from Hogan defeating the Iron Sheik to capture the WWF Championship for the first time, through to his WrestleMania V main event match against Randy Savage.

Episode three of the documentary will explore both Hogan in Hollywood, which includes an interview with Christopher Lloyd about Suburban Commando, and Hollywood Hogan with his heel turn and the birth of the nWo in WCW. The episode will conclude with Hogan's return to WWE and his WrestleMania 18 match against The Rock.

Storkel noted episode four will chronicle the rest of Hogan's life following WrestleMania 18 until his passing in July 2025.

"The final episode is kind of everything after wrestling. He's trying to figure out how to get out of wrestling. Does the reality show. Other things come up, obviously there's some scandal and some things that happened afterwards. Then it leads us all the way through the RNC and Donald Trump, and through his death," Storkel said.

Hogan was interviewed for the docuseries over five days in March and April 2025, with 90 per cent of the documentary being shot by the time Hogan went into hospital for neck fusion surgery in May.

Hogan suffered from serious health issues after the surgery, with it being alleged that his phrenic nerve was severed during the operation. Terry Bollea passed away following a heart attack on July 24, 2025.

Hulk Hogan: Real American will be released on Netflix on Friday, April 24.
