Hurricane Helms Signs WWE Legends Deal

The Hurricane is an official WWE Legend

'The Hurricane' Shane Helms has signed a WWE Legends deal.

The former WWE Tag Team Champion announced the news on Twitter with a slice of self deprecation:

“I signed a WWE Legends deal so I guess that makes it official… I’m old.”

Helms currently works backstage in WWE, working as a producer for the company, and has been in the position since 2019.

Primarily known for his run as hapless superhero The Hurricane from The Invasion onwards, Helms held several championships during his time as an active competitor in WWE, holding Cruiserweight, European Hardcore, and Tag Team gold during a nine year stint with the company.

Helms originally made his name in WCW as part of manufactured boy band 3 Count, winning Cruiserweight and Hardcore titles during his time in Atlanta, after cutting his teeth with The Hardy’s OMEGA organisation.

Outside of WWE and WCW, Helms has worked for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, TNA/IMPACT, the NWA, and Ring of Honor amongst others. Whilst furloughed from WWE in 2020, Helms made an appearance for AEW in the Elite Deletion match.
