"I Have An Idea" - John 'Bradshaw' Layfield Open To In-Ring WWE Return

JBL retired from in-ring competition in 2009

John 'Bradshaw' Layfield has admitted he would love to wrestle again in WWE, saying he has an idea in mind for how he could come back.

JBL retired from in-ring competition following his loss to Rey Mysterio in an Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 25 in 2009, having previously taken a period off in 2006 and 2007 to recover from a serious back injury.

The former WWE champion was inducted into the Hall Of Fame this year as part of the Class of 2020, and is still involved in WWE's product, often appearing in pre-show panels.

However JBL says he is open to the idea of returning to do one more in-ring match for WWE, teasing he has a storyline in mind, but also admitted that it does not necessarily mean it will happen.

Speaking in a YouTube Q&A, he said: "Yeah, I’d love to. I have an idea about getting back. Every wrestler has an idea. That doesn’t mean I’m gonna do it, and I don’t know if my body will allow me to do it. Right now, I’m just playing golf and enjoying that."
