Number 1 Contender Qualifying Matches Set For Next Week's IMPACT Wrestling

Ahead of the Six-Way at Under Siege

Three number one contender qualifying matches have been announced for next week's edition of IMPACT Wrestling.

Scott D'Amore revealed on last night's post-Rebellion IMPACT that Rich Swann does not have a rematch clause in his contract and he will, therefore, not be immediately facing new IMPACT World Champion Kenny Omega.

Instead, the new number one contender will be determined in a Six-Way at Under Siege on May 15 and the participants in the match were/will be decided in series of qualifying matches.

Three qualifiers took place last night and Chris Bey and Matt Cardona advanced to the Six-Way. Former IMPACT World Champions Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan faced off in the final qualifier on the show, but that match ended in a no-contest following an attack from Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers.

Three more qualifying matches will take place on next week's show. Moose will take on James Storm, Chris Sabin will face Rhino and Trey Miguel will clash with Rohit Raju. How IMPACT will address the vacant spot left by Edwards vs. Callihan is currently unknown.

Also scheduled for next week's show is the debut of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's El Phantasmo. IMPACT announced the arrival of ELP last night and the two-time Super J-Cup winner is the latest example of the growing relationship between NJPW and IMPACT.
