IC Title Match Added To WWE Fastlane

SmackDown side of the card continues coming together

The WWE Intercontinental title will be at stake at next Sunday's Fastlane pay-per-view, as Big E will defend the gold against the man that recently put him out of action, Apollo Crews.

Big E returned to SmackDown Friday night after missing a few shows with a brachial plexus injury, inflicted by Crews.

Crews had been unsuccessful in prior attempts at Big E's title, and has since demanded a rematch.

On Friday's SmackDown, Big E called out Crews for a match, but got no response. Instead, Big E defeated Sami Zayn in an open challenge, after which a victorious Big E was jumped by Crews.

WWE confirmed late Friday night that the match between Big E and Crews was official for Fastlane.

The current card for WWE Fastlane, taking place Sunday, March 21 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL, is as follows:

* WWE Universal: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Daniel Bryan (either Edge or Jey Uso will be guest enforcer)

* WWE Women's Tag Team: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair

* WWE Intercontinental: Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews
