WWE SmackDown Viewership Drops From Previous Week

Falling a bit from last week's audience for the cage match

Friday night's WWE SmackDown dropped in terms of overnight viewership, after doing an impressive number for a steel cage main event the previous week.

Per Showbuzz Daily, SmackDown averaged 2,010,000 viewers across the two hour broadcast, down 156,000 (seven percent) from last week's overnight average of 2,166,000 viewers.

The first hour averaged 2,028,000 viewers, while the second did 1,992,000.

Overall, Friday's show was the third least-watched SmackDown of 2021 (in terms of total viewership), and lowest since February 12.

In 18-49, SmackDown did a .50 rating, down from last week's .60.

The 18-49 rating was tied for second-highest on network TV for the night, with the 9 pm encore airing of the Harry and Meghan interview with Oprah Winfrey on CBS, and the 10 pm airing of Dateline NBC. The only network program with a better 18-49 was ABC's Shark Tank (.60).

In 18-34, SmackDown scored a .30, same as a week ago. That tied for first with Shark Tank and the Harry and Meghan interview in that category.

In total, the demos and shares were largely the same as one week ago, with the only drop coming in 18-49.
